Dance and sing along with ABBA while learning more about the Swedish super group in ABBA You Can Dance.

As a spin-off to Ubisoft’s wildly popular Just Dance series of games, the company has created a few games focusing on just one artist.  After 2010’s Michael Jackson the Experience, the company in 2011 created games based on the music of ABBA and the Black Eyed Peas.

In ABBA You Can Dance, players can dance and sing along to ABBA’s greatest hits.  In the regular mode “Dance” mode, players simply mimic the onscreen dancer’s moves to try and score the most points.

But ABBA You Can Dance also has a cool “Mini-Musical” mode in which up to 4 players can choose to play as different characters in a mini-musical whose story progresses via the use of ABBA’s music.

Families with an Xbox microphone can also choose Karaoke mode to sing along with ABBA favorites.  There’s no scoring in this Karaoke mode, it’s all about having fun and singing along.

One of the cool added features is called “World of ABBA” in which facts and trivia about the group are displayed accompanied by still photos throughout the years.

Chances are, the mom in your family loves ABBA and will greatly enjoy the opportunity to share this music with their daughters and sons, if they haven’t already.  The dancing in Abba You Can Dance is fun, the classic ABBA videos are unintentionally hilarious, and the mini-musical mode can be fun for anyone willing to commit and play along.
