Family Friendliness: GamerPops.com:  There are plenty of games on the market aimed at children (and girls), yet so many of them fall into the “collection of minigames” genre. Not so with the refreshing Build-A-Bear Workshop: Friendship Valley. Instead, the game is a pleasant surprise, a game with charm and variety wrapped around its quests and minigames. And ultimately, for girl gamers, who are woefully underserved by the gaming industry, it’s a terrific option. Obviously, it’s not a game for mature gamers, though it would be fun to play with the kids. But for that junior audience, especially the multitude of girls who think Build-a-Bear is the greatest place ever, it is highly, highly recommended. Everything in the game, from the visuals to the difficulty of the challenges to the controls, not to mention all of the content, is squarely aimed at that 6-10 year old group, and that group will have a great time with it.

Highlights:
- There are seven different games that are opened up in the course of your adventure, and eventually they can be played competitively by up to four players.
Lowlights:
Tasks sometimes seem drawn our or oversimplified, sending you back and forth and back and forth.  And typically on a quest, you don’t really have to care where you are going, you just follow the on-screen arrow and it will take you where you need to be.
