The main game in Coldstone Creamery Scoop It Up is really one big mini-game that is repeated over and over. Families with younger kids will enjoy the colorful graphics and fairly simple gameplay, and may want to pick this up for the right price. However, older kids will probably be more interested in actually going to Cold Stone Creamery rather than playing Scoop It Up.

Game Details:
Cold Stone Creamery - Scoop It Up puts you behind the counter at the Ice Cream shop, using your Wii-mote to serve up customers. For the most part, controls involve pointing the Wii-mote at the screen and clicking to perform actions, but Scoop It Up also offers you the chance to use two Wii-motes at the same time, one representing each hand. So for example, you would use the Wii-mote in your left hand to point at and pick up an ice cream cone or cup, while using your right hand to pick up a scoop of ice cream. Once you combine the two, you may then need to move your Frozen creation to a topping station, depending on what your customers want.
The basic gameplay mechanic involves customers slowly approaching with a "thought bubble" visualization of their ice cream order, and it's up to you to put it together before they arrive in front of your counter. There's really not much variety beyond that, other than the difficulty increasing based on your upgrades or additional ice cream flavors. There are also times when you may "run out" of topping and need to participate in an on-the-fly mini-game to create more.
Although the main game is single-player, our family was able to select the dual Wii-mote control mode and play cooperatively, with one person controlling the left hand and the other controlling the right hand. It actually made for a fun exercise in communication and teamwork.
The game also boasts two-player, competive mini-games. You can play these one at a time, or in a set to try and rack up the most points.
