Dagedar for DS is simple to play but very difficult to master, with a high level of difficulty that will make players feel like they need to have "the perfect run" to beat the computer player even on the easiest level. There's also a multiplayer mode which allows for racing with friends, even if only one of you has a game.
Controls are fairly simple, as players will point in the direction they want to go. There are turbo power ups and the ability to jump to avoid obstactles or switch tracks.
The main problem with Dagedar is that it requires virtually no mistakes be made during the five lap race, and it becomes nearly impossible to win the race if you do. While older, competitive kids will relish this challenge, it makes it too hard and frustrating to recommend for younger kids who might be drawn by the simple controls and Dagedar subject matter.
