Forza for Kinect is based on Microsoft’s popular Forza franchise of vehicle simulations, but promises to combine simpler gameplay with the game’s high level of detail and appreciation of cars.
As players use their hands to turn the steering wheel to drive the car, the Kinect sensor also tracks their head movements to allow them to look into corners, or take a peek beside them to see a car they are trying to pass.
The game should appeal most to teens and dads who are very enthusiastic about cars. Each model is re-created in a high level of detail, including the interiors, so you can open the door and see what it’s like to sit behind-the-wheel.
We weren’t able to get a good sense of how accessible the driving gameplay will be for all ages from our demonstration at the E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles in June, although we suspect this game will be mainly for tweens and above.
