Game Details:

Let’s Play Garden for Wii and DS is really a compilation of different garden themed mini-games, not necessarily a chance to plant your own garden.

In the Wii version, you have the ability to play all the mini-games as multiplayer right off the bat, or can go into the single player mode to walk around your garden and access the different mini-games that way.  In the single-player mode, you earn rewards and items for your garden by having success in each mini-game.

The DS version is similar to the single-player mode of the Wii game, with players walking around their gardens to access mini-games to earn items and rewards.

Let’s Play Garden contains a fun and varied selection of mini-games, some of which can even be enjoyed by toddlers.  But there are a few mini-games that require precise on-screen aiming, which are better for young kids and older.  We particularly enjoyed the apple-catching game on the Wii for toddlers, and the snowman/scarecrow memory games for older kids, which ask players to memorize the details and then recreate them accurately and quickly.

In all, Let’s Play Garden for both Wii and DS contain fun, wholesome garden-themed mini-games that are great for young kids, and even contains some content which is accessible to toddlers.  Families looking to recreate a real gardening experience though will likely want to look elsewhere.
