New Cyberbike Wii Game Uses Stationary Bike As Controller

April 20, 2011 - Bigben Interactive announced today that Cyberbike Cycling Sports will be available this summer, and the unique thing about this game is that utilizes what the company calls the Cyberbike Magnetic Edition peripheral, - a real, adjustable stationary bike designed exclusively for the Wii.

The stationary exercise bike peripheral connects to the GameCube port on the Nintendo Wii console and is compatible with all Nintendo Wii games playable with a classic controller such as Mario Kart. It features an adjustable, cushioned seat and pivoting handlebars, making it perfect for players of all sizes. Magnetic resistance is set through a tension control knob providing variable and smooth resistance for all fitness levels.

In the Cyberbike Cycling Sports Game, players pedal to control a bicycle, submarine, wagon and helicopter through 18 circuits on planet Cyclo, eliminating pollution on the ground, in the air, and underwater. In fitness mode, players pedal until they reach personally set distance, time, and calorie-burning goals. In multiplayer mode, up to four people can take turns having fun and getting fit.

No price point has been set yet, and no firm release date announced outside of "Summer 2011."
