Just as Phineas and Ferb make a great team, it will take two players to really get the most out of Phineas and Ferb Across the Second Dimension. Fans of the show will love this game which closely mirrors the plot of the Disney Channel movie of the same name.
In the game, players will need to use the Wii-mote and nunchuk to work together as they travel through levels inspired by episodes of Phineas and Ferb, battling gelatin monsters with over-the-top creative weaponry. Teamwork is going to be key, and Phineas & Ferb Across The Second Dimension promises to be a great cooperative game for families.
Controls are a bit complex: In the Wii version, players will move using the nunchuk’s joystick, and perform specific actions with the “B” trigger button on the Wiimote. Throughout the game, Phineas and Ferb will need to work together by standing in specific spots and simulataneously pressing the “C” button, which is located on the nunchuk. There are a lot of different button combinations involved, and as such some parents may be intimidated.
For fans of Phineas & Ferb (and there are many of them), Phineas & Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension is a great way to experience the Phineas & Ferb universe, with familiar characters, plotlines and the trademark sense of humor. We’d say the controls are slightly difficult and a bit too much for the casual videogame player, in that they make heavy use of the nunchuk and many different buttons on both the nunchuk and Wiimote.
