Family Friendliness: Families should know that despite the name, the game isn’t just about heroes, it’s about fighting.  There’s no adventure mode or anything else here, this game is all about fighting.  While a great and popular genre of games that is perhaps the ultimate competitive experience, it’s possible parents buying this game for their kids may not realize that.

Highlights:
Neat use of Avatars in Super Hero costumes help kids feel like they’re in the battle.

Lowlights:
We hate blaming the Kinect, but the game wasn’t totally precise in tracking our kicks, jumps and other moves sometimes, which could lead to our onscreen character not performing the actions we wanted.

The game makes use of Xbox avatars, dressing them up in the unique looking Power Up Heroes costumes to battle other similar heroes.

To control the battles, kids will need to kick, jump and jump around at certain times.  Blocking also plays a role.   By stringing together successful hits and counterattacks, players will try and drain their enemies power meter first in order to win the next battle.
