Obviously punching others is not usually considered a family-friendly activity, but Nintendo’s re-imagined Punch Out!! for Wii makes trying to knock each other out a fun bonding activity. Families with older kids will have a fun time employing strategy and counter-strategy as the box their way up through the ranks.

Parents who remember the original Punch-Out!! will get a kick out of some familiar characters and sound effects
This game encourages strategy, not just wild flailing about

For the true head-to-head experience, you need to have two nun-chuks
Playing through the single player campaign will probably take a lot of navigating back and forth through the menus as you toggle between exhibition and career mode

Game Details:
Little Mac is back! Everyone’s favorite underdog from the 1980s joins the best of the original Punch-Out!! cast in a modern re-imagination of the series.
The motion-sensitive controls of the Wii console mean that when players throw punches, Little Mac throws punches as well. Additionally, you can control hooks and jabs by combining motion control with control-stick movement. The game can also be played with classic controls by turning the Wii Remote sideways.
There are a total of 13 opponents for Little Mac to step into the ring with, 12 of which are returning from previous games in the Punch-Out!! Series, including Glass Joe and King Hippo.

ESRB Rating Summary: This is a boxing game in which players compete in boxing matches against a cast of colorful, fictional characters. While players can use standard boxing moves (jabs, hooks, uppercuts), most fights are performed in a comical fashion with an assortment of "dizzy stars," "cartoony" sound effects, and slapstick signature moves (e.g., growling, dropping shorts, conking oneself on the head, twirling, etc.). Boxers' faces show lumps and bruises after taking damage, and some knockouts are depicted in slow motion as players are sent flying across the canvass. One character flexes his pectoral and glute muscles prior to a fight, while another boxer belches during a cutscene.
