GamerPops.com: There are plenty of minigame collections on the Wii, but there are few quite as good as Rio. With a nice mix of fun minigames, several different playmodes, and production values that capture the color and liveliness of the movie, Rio is a winner without even factoring in the $30 price point. Buy with confidence, and enjoy with your family.

|
Highlights:
- Regardless of which system you play it on, Rio is an excellent party game.
- The minigames are easy enough for players of all ages, and they are well explained before each challenge.
- The game’s E10+ rating doesn’t really seem to be based on content, more so the light comic violence in several of the minigames, so parents can rest assured that this is a good selection for all ages.
|
|
Lowlights:
- The biggest drawback from the family perspective is that, like any movie tie-in game, there could be a fairly limited timespan for Rio. It may be a lot of fun now, but with many other movie related games coming out in the next couple of months, there’s always the danger this one could be quickly brushed aside.

ESRB Rating Summary: This is a collection of multiplayer mini-games (i.e., party games) based on the animated movie Rio. In some mini-games, players use a targeting crosshair to throw or drop fruit on monkeys that disappear in puffs of smoke. One cutscene depicts a bird bouncing off a female beachgoer's buttocks; a brief jiggling effect occurs.
