The Shoot is one of the first games announced for Sony’s PlayStation Move system.  The game is expected to be ready this fall (read: Holiday season), so we’ve put an 11/17/2010 date as the release date.

Set on a movie set, The Shoot is really a series of different light-gun style games (if you are familiar with old Nintendo games, think Hogan’s Alley or Duck Hunt).  The premise is an excuse to be able to transport you from an old west scene to a futuristic city being overtaken by giant robots.

PlayStation Move is Sony’s attempt to enter the motion control gaming market that was started by Wii, and will also soon be joined by Microsoft’s Project Natal.  Read more about the Move hardware at http://www.familyfriendlyvideogames.com/PlayStationMove.
