This DS game based on the Nickelodeon show plays out like a television episode, with players taking on the role of the new kid at Hollywood Arts.
As they go through their first day, they’ll talk to and help out many of the characters from the show. Whether it’s performing the mysterious Bird routine as part of the first day of class, taking part in Mr. Sikowitz’s class or avoiding the drama caused by Jade, players will feel like they’re part of Hollywood Arts.
There are a number of different mini-games that are played as the game unfolds, and they can also be replayed on their own in the “Arcade” mode. Games range from helping staff a food truck to a Simon Says memory style game. There are also opportunities for drawing and more.
With success, players will earn new outfits and clothes, and they can change what they’re wearing at any time.
All in all, VicTORIous is a pretty fun DS game that provides a neat single player experience that feels a lot like an episode of the show. The mini-games can be challenging to achieve “diamond” status, but that’s good and will give the tweens and teens who are fans of the show a good challenge.
